Thank you for your interest in running for the Board of Directors this year! The election will be held in October, and the deadline for submission of an application is August 20, 2010. The documents below are intended to to give you a better understanding about the role of a Board member, as well as inform you of the nomination timeline. The application can be downloaded here as well.

Those considering running for the Board are invited to attend a meeting with the nominating committee to review/discuss mutual expectations and understandings about the responsibilities of board members, as well as the experience the applicant offers the Board. The Nominating Committee forwards to the Board the names of applicants it recommends the Board support for nomination.

Meetings with the nominating committee will be held in the Just Food Community Room on August 9 at 5 p.m. and 7 p.m., and on August 11 at 5 p.m. and 7 p.m.

A member-owner may also be nominated for Board membership by procuring at least ten signatures of current member-owners. These nominations should be submitted to the Nominating Committee along with the “Board of Directors Application” by September 2, 2010 so that the election mailing introducing candidates for the Board of Directors includes the same information for all candidates.
