Meat and Cheese Assistant – PT

Responsibilities include: Package, label and stock fresh and frozen meat and seafood; Ensure product is stocked, rotated, fronted and faced according to established procedures to ensure abundant displays; Assist with ordering and receiving product; Follow all appropriate standards with regards to sanitation, safe food handling practices, handling and labeling of organic ingredients, allergen labeling, and special diets. Qualifications include: Organized, attention to detail; Able to multi-task and remain flexible to the changing needs of the business; Friendly customer service with a sense of urgency. Physical qualifications include: Ability to lift 50 lbs.; Ability to be on your feet for 8 hours; Ability to continuously lift, reach, and twist; Use of both hands. Schedule potentially includes: Part time, 12-15 hours per week; Ability to work weekends, days and evenings.

Meat, Cheese & Deli Manager – FT, Salaried

Responsibilities include: Develop and maintain in-house prepared foods program; Negotiate with suppliers; Purchase products for department according to store product guidelines; Hire and develop department staff; Develop and implement short and long term department goals; Work with Marketing Manager to develop marketing plan for department. Qualifications include: Experience managing in a professional kitchen environment; Ability to handle multiple demands; Ability to read financial statements; Knowledge of natural foods and special dietary needs; Demonstrated ability to prioritize and follow through on commitments; Demonstrated ability to frequently lift, push, pull and move items up to 50 lbs. in a safe and appropriate way. Cashier – PT

Responsibilities include: Welcome and greet customers, create an environment of professionalism and ensure highest level of customer service possible; Assist customers with questions and needs, finding assistance from other departments when needed; Process customer purchases with accuracy, speed and friendliness; Promote membership, process payments and forms; Inform customers of specials, events and news related to the co-op and it’s community; Keep the Front End area in clean and orderly condition; Follow Front End policies and procedures. Qualifications include: Friendly customer service with a sense of urgency; Ability to multi-task and remain flexible to the changing needs of the business; Experience serving the public and providing good customer service; Organized, accurate, pays attention to detail. Physical qualifications include: Ability to stand in one place for long periods of time; Ability to lift 20 pounds; Ability to continuously reach and twist. Schedule potentially includes: 10-15 hours per week & 15-20 hours per week; Ability to work weekends, days and evenings. Posted May 7, 2014
