Carleton event Monday- THE HUMAN IMPACT OF CLIMATE CHANGE: FOOD SECURITY, FARMING, AND HUNGER.

This Monday at 3:15 in the Library Anthenaeum at Carleton. Food Truth is bringing Oxfam America and speakers from Malaysia and Malawi to Carleton to speak about the impacts of global warming on their communities.

Meenea Raman is the Chair of Friends of the Earth International and Secretary General of Friends of the Earth Malaysia. Ms. Raman set up the first public interest law firm in Malaysia and has been involved in environmental struggles in Malaysia for the past two decades.

Joyce Patience Tembenu is a 37 year-old widow and mother of three children. Tembenu farms maize, soybeans, groundnuts, vegetables and cotton for food and commercial purposes. She also has a poultry business and is a member of the Yamikani Women Farmers Club in Salima which supports women in farming.
