A Day of Canning Basics
Sunday Sept.18, 9:30am-5ish at the Cristofaro-Hark’s Farm at 4133 Millersburg Blvd, Lonsdale.
Transition Northfield says:
“Join us for a day of canning tomatoes! Gain the skills to enjoy your garden through the winter and come away with several jars to take home. We will be providing ingredients grown without chemicals from Spring Wind Farm, as well as canning supplies and equipment.
“All levels of experience with food preservation are welcome. There will be hand-outs, books and ideas to share. Everyone is welcome!
“The first 13 paid registrants will have their space held. Suggested donation for the class is $20.00 to cover costs of canning supplies, ingredients and LP gas for the outdoor cookers. Please bring your own lunch, water bottle and sunscreen.”
