JUST FOOD: NORTHFIELD COMMUNITY CO-OP
WELLNESS STOCKER JOB DESCRIPTION

Purpose: To assist customers with sales of vitamins, supplements, herbs, books, and body care and to maintain an attractive, clean, well-stocked department to help meet objectives for sales, margin, inventory turns and customer service.

Status: Reports to Wellness Manager
Pay Level II
Hourly

Responsibilities:

I. CUSTOMER SERVICE
A. Provide prompt, friendly, courteous customer service. Answer questions on nutrition and natural products within legal guidelines, referring to other staff when appropriate.
B. Maintain reference books for customers and understand how to use them

II. MERCHANDISING
A. Maintain attractive, fully stocked and rotated displays and shelves.
B. Keep shelves displays, aisles and storage areas in clean, orderly condition, meeting health department standards.
C. Receive and stock orders following established procedures.

III. DEPARTMENT MAINTENANCE
A. Maintain department equipment in working order. Advise department manager of equipment problems or needs.
B. Participate in inventory counts.
C. Keep accurate shrinkage records.

IV. OTHER
A. Attend department and storewide meetings.
B. Attend trainings as assigned.
B. Perform other tasks assigned by Wellness Manager.

QUALIFICATIONS
-Interest in vitamins, supplements, herbs, natural body care products.
-Communications skills–good listener, clear instructions.
-Demonstrated ability to follow through on commitments.
-Demonstrated ability to handle multiple demands.
-Ability to lift (50) lbs.
-Flexible with schedule – able to change with proper notice and willingness to work weekends
